October 9th is the last day to register, so don’t put it off! Go to www.votespa.com. If you will be 18 by November 6th of this year, you can register and vote! At this site you can register, update your registration, check your registration status, find your polling place, and apply for an absentee ballot.
It’s also a good idea, once you are registered, to double check your registration a month before the election. So around September 9th, check it and make any changes before the deadline.
I’m also recommending, if you’re doing absentee ballot, send the application NO LATER THAN October 15th. They need to process and mail the actual ballot to you, and that will take a couple days to a week. Then you need to fill it out and get it back to them and it has to be in the County Office NO LATER THAN November 2nd.
The only way it will work if you apply Oct. 30th is if you apply in person and then take it to the office in person. In my humble opinion. How anyone could apply Oct. 30th through the mail and get the ballot and mail it back in three days is a mystery to me.
To obtain an overseas or military absentee ballot, go to www.FVAP.gov
