Where We Stand

Most of the time, when we look at a political map of the United States, we despair. All that red! Here I show one with an emphasis on House seats, which goes more by popular vote.

Also note that North Carolina still has one undecided seat, since their election commission disbanded without making a decision on how to proceed.

Blocks are House members. Red are GOP, blue are Democrat.

Circles are Senators, while state abbreviations are Governors.

For example, Pennsylvania has 9 blue blocks and 9 red blocks for Dem and GOP House members. It has one blue circle for Democrat Senator Casey and a red circle for GOP Senator Toomey. Then the word “PA” is blue for Governor Wolf, a Democrat.
