Hello, I’m Anne Keller-Smith, elected Precinct Committee Person of Emmaus Precinct #2. My job is to be your resource for all things voting Democratic. I want to do whatever I can do to help you make it easier to vote and feel confident in your choices at the polls.
I have lived in Emmaus for 18 years, three of them at my current home on Keystone Avenue. My son went to Jefferson School, LMMS and Emmaus HS. This town has been a great place for him to grow up. I just love Emmaus. One of my favorite things is to take a walk and see what people have done with their yards. Everyone no matter the size of their home has taken an extra effort to make things beautiful.
Once Trump was elected, I had a choice: go crazy or get busy.
I joined the newly-formed East Penn Democratic Club and contributed to the Communications Committee and Neighborhood Task Force.
I was pleasantly surprised to realize my own neighborhood was half Democratic, with a healthy dose of Independents. Having spent many minutes in the polling booth going eeny meeny miney mo, I began to share information about issues and candidates with my neighbors. It turns out this is actually a job in the local Democratic party, precinct committee person.
Thanks to all of you who voted for me, I can now officially go beyond giving you information. I can also begin to let the Democratic Party know what you WANT. Since the party is far from perfect, we have to go beyond voting for them, we have to keep track of them and make sure they represent US.
Originally a Jersey girl, my family moved to the Lehigh Valley in 1964. My background is eclectic and self-taught. I have studied Anthropology, Interior Design, Web Design, and Jewelry Crafting. I have lived in Pennsylvania, Jerusalem, New York, Chicago and Pennsylvania (again!)
Even though I am retired, I still keep up with many activities I did more full-time previously. Take a look at them here:
